If your practice is not attesting to MIPS or the Promoting Interoperability (PI) category for the 2024 Performance Period, please disregard this message.
We are writing to update you on the Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) measure for the 2024 performance period.
This is a required measure for 2024. It involves the eligible clinician (EC) and/or group submitting reportable conditions to its state’s local public health agency (PHA).
- gGastro® has completed three weeks of beta testing (the final round of testing before releasing to a wide audience) (Phase 4) with the APHL Informatics Messaging Services platform (AIMS), which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) uses to send and receive reportable conditions.
- AIMS is in the process of validating our functionality to move it to general availability (GA) so that gGastro users can begin to utilize this new functionality.
What You Need to Do Now:
- You must register with your local PHA/state to report this measure within 60 days of the start of your 180-day PI performance period. To use the July 4, 2024 – December 31, 2024 performance period, you must register by Wednesday, September 2, 2024.
- You may begin your performance period any time within 60 days of completing registration with your local PHA/state, even if the functionality isn’t fully available yet in gGastro. We will communicate with you once the functionality becomes available, so you may move forward with this measure.
- In the meantime, please complete the required below items if you haven’t already done so:
