We are very excited to announce the release of gGastro version 4.58.
Please review the release notes, which contain information about all of the new features and efficiencies in 4.58, by following the links below.
gPortal got a whole new set of powerful feature additions as well as a complete visual makeover.
It can be customized with images and color schemes to better represent your practice. And it looks great on the patients’ mobile devices!
You will now be able to send gGastro generated documents, or scanned, imported or faxed documents from gGastro to the patient via gPortal. This can be done via Output Manager or directly from the document. Update requests can now include Review of Systems. They can also be accepted or denied in whole or by section. Patients will be able to select coded medications when filling out the update request on gPortal. Managing portal messages just got easier as well: a portal message can be filed without having to reply or task; replying to a portal message from a task will include the original message text so that you can maintain the full conversation trail with the patient, and portal message location can be easily updated.
Pathology workflow and ADR report
Working with pathology results and related activities is an important part of any GI practitioner’s daily tasks. There are a number of important updates that will streamline some of the more commonly used areas, such as being able to access letters and GIQuIC or gQuality popups from the task related to any pathology result, whether it is received via interface, fax, scan or import. It is also possible to update the wording on the diagnostic study entry related to the pathology result. This wording will then reflect on the patient profile or the subsequent visit notes, helping you to review patient history more quickly.
Whether participating in GIQuIC or choosing to use the built-in gQuality reporting option, you can now run an Adenoma Detection Rate report straight from gGastro. As long as the pathology findings have been reflected in the GIQuIC/gQuality popup, the report will be able to provide accurate Adenoma Detection Rate.
GIQuIC reporting includes EGD as of release 4.58. There are also many efficiencies and automation in the collection of the data. For example, Indications are now mapped based on ICD code selection, so you don’t have to select a secondary GIQuIC specific wording for the indications; follow up interval is defaulted from the order created on the service; and complications can be mapped, so that the wording does not have to be an exact match to GIQuIC defined options.
Clinical Quality Measure additions
Two new Clinical Quality Measures (CQM’s) were added to gGastro to help facilitate your Meaningful Use and PQRS reporting. Those measures are: Preventive care and screening: Tobacco use screening and cessation intervention and Pneumonia Vaccination status for older adults.
Interface related configurations and options have been brought together in a powerful gExchange module, which will allow gMed staff to implement and support interfaces in a more efficient way. This will also allow our clients’ super users to manage some of the settings independently without having to engage gMed.
