We plan on updating our gGastro® Cloud clients to the latest version of gGastro® on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 12:01 AM – 8:00 AM Eastern Time. The cloud environment will have intermittent periods of application inaccessibility during this time.
Please note: Once this update takes effect, we will no longer support gGastro versions 6.0 or lower.
Practice Action May Be Required:
The gGastro v.6.2 release notes are currently available on ModMed® Communities for gGastro.
Desktop Client
There is no new Desktop Client required for this version. We encourage you nonetheless to update to the most recent version of Desktop Client, v.1.2.0.9, if you have not done so already. To do so, please have your IT support services download this new version, available on ModMed Communities, here.
- The Desktop Client tool allows the browser to communicate with certain ancillary devices (image capture, scanning, importing, etc).
- This version is backward compatible with gGastro v.6.1or higher.
Mobile Application Compatibility
For practices that utilize gKiosk™ and gGastro® Mobile, we plan to release a new version of gKiosk™ (available on Apple devices only) and gGastro® Mobile (available on Apple and Android devices) applications, which are recommended for the upcoming gGastro® v.6.2 release.
Important Reminder: Due to Apple’s software release in September 2023, ModMed Gastroenterology plans to update its minimum system requirements to iOS/iPadOS 17. To ensure continued functionality of ModMed Gastroenterology iOS applications, all iOS devices must be updated to the minimum iOS version (v.17.0 or higher) prior to Sunday, January 7, 2024. Devices may need to be replaced to meet this requirement. To learn more, please refer to the “Follow-Up: Changes in Minimum iOS System Requirements — January 2024” communication we sent to you on November 20, 2023.
