This is a follow-up to the important patient safety alert we sent to you yesterday, Monday, December 9, 2024, impacting a subset of gGastro® cloud clients. The issue causing some users to experience a delay with inbound HL7 integrations (demographics, appointments, and clinical / pathology results), which began on Sunday, December 8, 2024, has been resolved.
Please note: If you did not upgrade to gGastro version 6.3.4, this issue did not affect your practice. This issue has now been resolved for all users, including those who have updated to version 6.3.4.
Following are updates regarding this issue:
- As of today, Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 4:00 PM Eastern Time (ET), inbound HL7 information (demographics, appointments, and clinical / pathology results) is flowing properly, without delay.
- Inbound HL7 appointment messages (Scheduling Information Unsolicited messages [SIUs]) sent from December 8, 2024 at 12:01 AM ET — December 10, 2024 at 4:00 PM ET may not have reached gGastro® for practices that upgraded to gGastro v.6.3.4 on or before December 10, 2024.
- Action Recommended for inbound HL7 appointment integration messages (SIUs): We recommend that you contact your practice management vendor and request that it re-trigger appointments (SIUs via HL7) from December 8, 2024 at 12:01 AM ET to present.
- Inbound HL7 Observation Result (ORU) messages (clinical / pathology results) sent from December 8, 2024 at 12:01 AM ET – December 10, 2024 at 4:00 PM ET have been reprocessed and should be visible within gGastro.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused your practice. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we worked through this issue.
