Update: 2022 MIPS Electronic Case Reporting; Claim Exclusion

We are writing to confirm that gGastro® does not currently support Electronic Case Reporting for the 2022 MIPS Performance year. As a result, gGastro users will need to claim the following exclusion to the Promoting Interoperability Electronic Case Reporting measure of MIPS:

“The MIPS eligible clinician uses CEHRT that is not certified to the electronic case reporting certification criterion at § 170.315(f)(5) prior to the start of the performance period they select in CY 2022.”

If you use other certified health IT systems for electronic case reporting, you may be eligible to report this measure; however, you will not be able to report the measure through gGastro.

Should you have any questions about how to report this measure using certified health IT products outside of gGastro, please direct those questions to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Payment Program (QPP) Help Desk.

Sincerely,
The ModMed Gastroenterology Team
