Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) Feature for MIPS: Functionality Status Update

We are writing to update you about the status of the Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) functionality for MIPS in gGastro®. As you may be aware, this functionality uses the APHL Informatics Messaging Services (AIMS) platform. At this time, eCR functionality in gGastro remains under evaluation with AIMS as part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) testing process.

Due to a pause by the federal government in certain regulatory activities, we are experiencing a temporary delay in our evaluation and approval for general availability with the AIMS platform. During this delay, we continue to actively communicate with the appropriate entities regarding this matter.

Please be assured that we are aware of this issue and are taking immediate action to meet our current deadlines. We have raised this potential problem with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and are actively assessing the broader impact, including how many other organizations may be affected. We will keep you updated as we continue to address this matter.
