[EXPIRED] Reintroducing CMS130 “Colorectal Cancer Screening” — September 8, 2024

This is an important message impacting providers who utilize our MIPS feature to monitor and submit data.

We are writing to make you aware that the measure CMS130 “Colorectal Cancer Screening” will be reintroduced in gGastro® in an upcoming update, tentatively planned for release on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

In the 2024 Physicians Fee Schedule final rule, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized its proposal to remove CMS130 “Colorectal Cancer Screening” from traditional MIPS reporting and to retain it only for use in MIPS Value Pathways (MVP).

Included within the 2025 Physicians Fee Schedule proposed rule was a proposal to add a gastroenterology-specific MVP, “Gastroenterology Care” that, if finalized, would be effective for the 2025 Performance Year. In response to this proposal and to provide reporters with ample time to re-familiarize themselves with the measure, we are reintroducing CMS130 “Colorectal Cancer Screening” in gGastro.

Please note: This measure cannot be used as part of your 2024 MIPS submission and gGastro does not currently support the MVP track.
