We are writing to remind you that on Monday, March 24, 2025, the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that it is extending its MIPS data submission deadline for the 2024 performance period in response to the ongoing national intravenous (IV) fluid shortage.
New Deadlines
- The new 2024 MIPS Submission Deadline is Monday, April 14, 2025, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).
- In addition, CMS reopened the 2024 MIPS Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances (EUC) Exception application to provide relief to practices impacted by the IV fluid shortage. The EUC Exception application reopened on Monday, March 31, 2025, and will close on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 8:00 PM ET.
