We are writing to inform you that on September 18, 2023, Apple released the latest version of its iOS and iPadOS operating systems, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. As a result, ModMed Gastroenterology plans to update its minimum iOS and iPadOS system requirements in December 2023. We plan to communicate an official date as soon as it is determined.
This update is necessary to ensure the protection of your practice and patient information, as Apple does not support older iOS versions once a new one is released. It is not possible to guarantee that unsupported devices and operating systems remain compliant with industry security standards.
In December 2023, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 will become the minimum system requirements to run ModMed Gastroenterology iOS applications. In some cases, devices may need to be replaced to meet this requirement.
To ensure continued functionality of ModMed Gastroenterology iOS applications, all iOS devices must be updated to the minimum iOS version (v.17.0 or higher) by December 2023. Failure to update iOS devices to v.17 will result in the inability to access gGastro®.
Please note: Some devices that are currently running iPadOS 16 may not be compatible with the latest iPadOS 17 operating system. As a result, these devices may need to be replaced.
This requirement will impact the following ModMed Gastroenterology mobile applications:
- gGastro Mobile
- gKiosk™
