Patient Safety Alert: Failed Fax Notifications Not Sending for Enterprise Clients — May 26, 2023

We are writing to make you aware that we have identified an issue impacting gGastro® and ModMed® ASC clients using Enterprise Chart Separation and the failed fax notifications feature. With this error, users or groups previously assigned as “Failed Fax Notification Recipients” do not receive the failed fax task when a failure occurs. The issue was introduced with gGastro version 6.1 and ModMed® ASC version 6.1.

Our team is working to resolve this issue with our next software release, scheduled for Sunday, June 11, 2023, for gGastro Cloud clients. This version will be available on Monday, June 12, 2023, for on-premise installations via upgrade.

Action Recommended

Until this issue is resolved, please carefully monitor the outbound faxing queue. As seen in the screenshot provided below, outbound faxes can be filtered by “Failed” status to allow the user to easily review the list of faxes that need to be resent.

To resend a fax, click the checkbox for each fax in question, then right-click and select “Retry”.

We apologize for any inconvenience that you may experience. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work through this issue. If you have any questions regarding this notice, please contact our Support Team.
