Upcoming Changes to our Support Center

We are excited to announce that gMed is in the process of updating our client support center and knowledge base to create a new client success hub.

Just as you implemented our technologies in your practice with the goal to increase efficiencies and enhance the patient experience, gMed is working toward a similar objective to increase our efficiencies by streamlining our internal systems, which includes an update to our client support center.

What is changing?
Starting in January, our support center will change its interface as we update our case submission process.

  • We will have a new platform for you to submit and keep track of your support cases.  During this initial phase, you will be directed to a new support center from the current Zoho Support Portal to submit support cases.  This will require a new login to submit a case.
  • Please look for a separate email from no.reply@modmed.com with your login information to the updated support center in order to submit a support case.
  • Our Knowledge Base, where you currently access self-service articles and information, will remain on the same platform, Zoho Support Portal, with the same login credentials you currently use.

How will this benefit gMed clients?
While we update our client support center, we ask for your patience.  When complete, the gMed Client Success Community will provide an avenue where clients can discuss, post, vote, and promote new product enhancements, get details on their support cases, and exchange ideas about gMed products and services, all in one place.

ICD-10 code updates effective October 1, 2016

2017 ICD-10-CM diagnosis code updates go into effect October 1, 2016.

CPT code updates effective January 1, 2017

The American Medical Association has published new guidance on CPT codes for 2017. The gMed team is in the process of reviewing and incorporating the necessary changes into the application. We expect the code updates to become available to all gMed clients without a need for an upgrade.

The CPT codes database, as well as the coding logic engine which drives the automatically generated CPT codes for the GI procedures, are centrally hosted by gMed and should be updated January 1, 2017.

Upon completion of the review, the gMed product team will share a summary of the most impactful changes to the GI codes to help you prepare for the transition.

Microsoft to end support to older version of Internet Explorer on January 12, 2016

Microsoft to end support to older version of Internet Explorer on January 12, 2016

According to Microsoft, Beginning January 12, 2016, only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system will receive technical supports and security updates. Internet Explorer 11 is the last version of Internet Explorer, and will continue to receive security updates, compatibility fixes, and technical support on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.

Running older versions of Internet Explorer after January 12, 2016 may expose you to potential risks, such as: security, compliance, lack of ISV support. Please plan to upgrade your Internet Explorer version.

Note that gGastro runs successfully on Internet Explorer 11, 10 and 9, however running versions other than 11 post January 12, 2016 may expose you to the above mentioned risks.
