Important Message: NC Cancer Registry

As you know, the State of North Carolina requires cancer case reporting to the NC Central Cancer Registry.  Reporting to a cancer registry is also a Menu Measure for Stage 2 Meaningful Use attestations. At this time gGastro offers a variety of other Menu measures to help you comply with Stage 2 Meaningful Use reporting requirements.

To remain compliant with the State’s cancer case reporting requirements, if you have not already done so, we strongly encourage you to visit the NC CCR site and familiarize yourself with those reporting requirements. The cancer case data can be manually entered and reported via a state-provided on-line tool called Eureka.

You can find detailed instructions and reporting requirements of how to report via Eureka on the SCHS website here.

Participation in the manual online reporting does not qualify for the Meaningful Use Menu measure as it requires automated electronic reporting.

gMed is evaluating the option of integrated reporting to cancer registries directly from gGastro. The evaluation includes alignment with MU andCDC reporting requirements, as well as understanding variations between different states. At this time it is our recommendation to continue/maintain your reporting through the Eureka system provided by NC CCR.
